Self Care
"You can't pour from an empty cup."
The Importance of
Self Care
As women, we are often stretched thin. Our duties as partners, mothers, daughters, caregivers, and in the work place require so much of ourselves that at times, we forget to save some of ourselves for us. Then we hit a wall or we begin to feel overwhelmed, or worse: we burn out.
Self care is extremely important as we can not possibly give our best to the multitude of areas in our lives if we are not giving our best to ourselves. You are important, you are doing a great job, and you deserve to give as much of that love and nurture and energy that you pour into your life to your own heart. You deserve that and I'm here with resources, reminders, and love to help you give your best self to you.
Your Self Care
Last year, one of my goals was to read one book a month. By June, I had read one book and written off accomplishing that goal. Around that time, I started walking and listening to podcasts which lead to audiobooks. By December, I surpassed my goal and read/listened to more than 15 books. I was elated; the only thing that would have been better was if I had someone to discuss the books with. SO, I’m inviting you to join me. Each month, I’ll let you know what I’m reading. If you’re interested in joining us for a book discussion, I’d love to have you.

In addition to the book club, I'll be supporting you in your self-care journey through fun activities such as self-care bingo, challenges, creating a wish list, events, and a 'MyFavoriteThings' party at the end of the year.
