Uptown Music Theatre (UMT) is an internationally award-winning musical theatre program that introduces kids 6 to 18 of all backgrounds and skill levels to the world of Broadway. Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, UMT was founded by famous American jazz trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis. Receiving training from Broadway professionals and competing against half a million other musical theatre students, kids in UMT learn to dance, sing, act, and discover themselves, as well as leadership skills, discipline, and the art of storytelling.
